Medical Officer

The successful candidate will be responsible to the medical director. The main duties of the position will relate to Employment and Support Allowance, Incapacity Benefit, Disability Living Allowance and Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit work.

Duties:

- Training and mentoring of sessional doctors

- Auditing of disability reports and providing feedback

- Liaising with general practitioners and other professionals

- Clinical examinations of claimants

- Domiciliary visits

- Performing any such other duties

Criteria:

- Hold full general medical council registration and a valid licence to practice in the UK

- One years experience gained in the last 3 years from working in disability benefit assessments

- Have access to a from of transport

- Sound knowledge and understanding of current and emerging clinical issues
